Most airports have their estimated check-in times, usually passengers should arrive 2 hours before a domestic departure, 3 hour before an international departure. You can check here for more information.
Passengers can check-in at check-in kiosks at selected airports. For the location of the kiosks, check here. Groups of 10 or more passengers booked on a single reservation can check-in using the kiosks.
Curbside check-in is also available in selected cities for those passengers with electronic or paper tickets. Passengers may use this service to check bags and receive their boarding pass without having to go to the ticket counter.
Express lanes for premium customers are available at security checkpoints in more than 30 key U.S. airports.

Passengers can check-in at check-in kiosks, called "eService Centers", at selected airports. For the location of the kiosks, check here. In order to check-in using the "eService Centers," passengers must have a major credit card, Continental OnePass Elite frequent flier card or Northwest WorldPerks frequent flier card. Some state driving licenses with magnetic stripes on the back are accepted.
Check-in:
Passengers must check-in at least 30 minutes (45 minutes if leaving from Atlanta, Denver, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles) prior to departure if leaving from the 50 states, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands for a domestic destination. If leaving for an international destination, passengers must check-in 60 minutes prior to departure (earlier check-in is required for flights leaving for Moscow; Bogota, Colombia; Istanbul, Turkey; Nassau, Bahamas, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos; and St. Lucia.
Curbside check in is available at more than 100 U.S. airports.
Self-service check-in kiosks are available at more than 80 airports.

LANPASS members can earn miles on flights on LAN, Oneworld Alliance members (British Airways, Iberia, Qantas, American Airlines, Finnair, Cathay Pacific, and Air Lingus) or a LANPASS affiliated airline: JAL, Alaska Airlines, AeroMexico, and Mexicana.
It is recommended for passengers to arrive at the airport 3 hours prior to departure.

Check-in pointers
Air New Zealand recommends that passengers traveling to, through or from the United States arrive at the airport three hours before the flight's scheduled departure.
The airline recommends checking in at least 30 minutes beforehand for domestic flights that depart Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch, or 60 minutes for departures connecting to international flights.
Electronic kiosks are available at Auckland, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch and Dunedin.
Check-in
Alaska has a list of recommended check-in times for individual airports. Travelers must be checked in and ready to board at the gate at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure (20 minutes for 2000 series flights between Seattle and Portland).
